Tate Liverpool searches for architect to transform gallery

Iconic waterfront gallery, Tate Liverpool, is currently seeking an architect to undertake the role of transforming its public space, to create an environment that is flexible, inviting and able to host people, art and ideas in equal part.

Tate Liverpool has announced that it is now accepting tenders from architects to work alongside the gallery, enabling it to thrive for decades to come. With several aims in mind, the project will fulfil the need of meeting the scale and ambition of today’s most exciting artists, while creating social spaces that better connect with the city and its communities.

The work will transform the usability of the building, increasing the gallery’s visibility on the waterfront and within Royal Albert Dock, easing the transition between social and gallery environments and offering more engaging routes through the building.
