The Albert Dock is open seven days a week from 10am, and general
admission to the complex is free. Around five
million people visit each year, making the dock the most-visited
free attraction in the UK outside London.
The Albert Dock contains over 25 shops, more than 12 restaurant and
café outlets and over 30 offices, including the regional
presence of the likes of Virgin Media and the Pearl Group, which
brings the combined employment at the dock to over 2,000 people.
The Albert Dock also houses a host of unique visitor attractions,
including the Tate Liverpool, the Beatles Story, Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum, BugWorld Experience, Shiverpool Ghost Tours, Yellow Duckmarine, Yellow Boat Cruise and the Echo Wheel.
The Colonnades pavilion houses 115 luxury apartments, including
penthouses with conservatories and rooftop patios looking out
across the River Mersey to the west, or overlooking the dock basin
and across to the city centre on the eastern side.
The dock is a great destination for anything from a family fun day
and day or night out, to a short break. We have two premium hotels
on site, the Holiday Inn Express and the Premier Inn, which
opened in 2003. 24-hour parking for the Albert Dock is provided by
the new Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool and Albert Dock
multi-storey car park.
The Albert Dock is not just a tourist destination, but enjoys a
resident population of 11.5 million people within a two hour drive
of the dock.
