truly unique The Yellow Duckmarine tour - nothing comes
close!
The YellowDuckMarine is a converted WWII DUKW amphibious landing
craft which is now a unique 24/30 seat sightseeing tour vehicle.
The hour long tour of Liverpool's famous waterfront, city and
dockland areas is accompanied by a live fun commentary from your
Tour Guide and your Captain.
The amphibious craft begins with its tour of the city which
includes the impressive Pier Head area, Mathew Street (famous for
the Beatles), St Georges Hall, both the Anglican and Metropolitan
Cathedrals, the Philarmonic Hall, The Chinese Arch and much more
along the way. This part of the tour lasts approximately 30
minutes.
The vehicle then returns to the Docks for it's famous
'SPLASHDOWN', where the DUKW dramatically drives
straight from the road, down the slipway and splashes down into
Salthouse Dock. It then cruises through 5 of Liverpool's
historic docks, here you can see and learn aspects of
Liverpool's history including it's maritime past and see
the old listed warehouses now converted into luxury apartments. It
travels through Salthouse, Wapping, Queens, Coburg docks and then
back for a circle of the Albert Dock before exiting the water the
same way it came in.
This is a fun, lively and informative tour that all ages can enjoy.
Our tours depart regularly all year round from 10.30am or 11.00am.
During quiet times we run every 75 minutes and during busy times
every 15 to 30 minutes.
