What’s Cooking? has been serving up great, scratch-made food since 1978.
A pioneer in Liverpool’s waterfront regeneration, What’s Cooking was one of the first restaurants to open at the Albert Dock and today it continues to lead the way with its great food and service.
What’s Cooking, remains the only surviving business from those trail blazing days and is immensely proud of the part it has played in the success of the Albert Dock.
We are an independently owned restaurant that prides itself on great casual-style dining, value-for-money prices, fresh ingredients, and exciting cocktails & drinks. The restaurant is warm and welcoming and the service is attentive and friendly – all taking place in a young a vibrant atmosphere. The recent refurbishment makes the most of the venue’s historic architecture and has created more comfortable surroundings for it’s customers.
Now managed by the original owners, the menu has been revamped and features some new and exciting dishes whilst retaining some of your old favourites. Influences are taken mainly from the U.S., Mexico, and the South West states, with a few other exotic places thrown in just to spice things up. Food is prepared to order just for you, and made from the finest, freshest ingredients available – many of our dishes have become classics having featured on the menu for the 38 years we’ve been in the business.
Located within the former Granada TV Studios, customers may be familiar with the same iconic view of the dock once gazed upon by Richard and Judy during their heyday here.
