The Albert Dock is just a couple of minutes walk from Liverpool city centre, through the impressive Liverpool One shopping centre and picturesque Chavasse Park. We're easily accessible on foot, by public transport, and also by car -whether you're coming from within the area or further afield.
The walkway between the Pier Head and Albert Dock is now open allowing full access to the new Museum of Liverpool and the Cruise Terminal.
On foot
The Albert Dock is a twenty-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street train station and can be accessed through Liverpool One or through the Paradise Street bus station (Canning Place) via Hanover Street. It's also less than ten minutes' walk from the city centre, including Liverpool One and the Ropewalks district. All pedestrian routes are well signposted.
By bus
The bus service C4 stops at the Albert Dock, or you can walk the short distance to the Albert Dock to the Paradise Street bus station for other services -it's just across the road. By car
From Birkenhead and the M62 Motorway, follow the brown tourist signs to the Albert Dock. From the M53 Motorway, head northbound from Ellesmere Port/Birkenhead, through the Wallasey (Kingsway) Tunnel into Liverpool. Merge onto Scotland Road and turn right at the traffic lights. From there, follow the brown tourist signs to the Albert Dock. If you're arriving via the A41 and Birkenhead, follow the A41 until you see directions to the Queensway Tunnel, which will take you into Liverpool.

By rail
National trains arrive at Liverpool Lime Street station, which is a twenty minute walk to the Albert Dock. If you don't fancy the walk, you can transfer to Merseyrail at Lime Street, which will take you to James Street Station, a five minute walk from Albert Dock.

By air
Liverpool John Lennon Airport is one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK, with a variety of European and transatlantic routes. By ferry

Parking
Parking for the Albert Dock is provided by the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, and the Albert Dock multi-storey car park, making the dock a handy location for a family day out or short break. Parking facilities are open 24 hours a day. There is also parking (QPark)at Liverpool One (the entrance is on the Strand) and John Lewis (Liver Street), plus limited parking at the Albert Dock itself.
