Directions by Road:

From Birkenhead and the M62 Motorway, follow the brown tourist signs to the Albert Dock. From the M53 Motorway, head northbound from Ellesmere Port/Birkenhead, through the Wallasey (Kingsway) Tunnel into Liverpool. Merge onto Scotland Road and turn right at the traffic lights. From there, follow the brown tourist signs to the Albert Dock. If you're arriving via the A41 and Birkenhead, follow the A41 until you see directions to the Queensway Tunnel, which will take you into Liverpool.

Passenger pick-up/drop-off points:

The Albert Dock has designated coach short-stay pick-up/drop-off points located at the stops on Salthouse Quay, near Albert Gate (close to the Pump House public house),and at Gower Street.For longer stays, a 24-hour pay and display coach parking area is located at the nearby King's Waterfront, adjacent to the Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) Liverpool.

Note for drivers:Albert Dock estate has a one way system in place for coaches, which should enter the estate via Albert Gate (opposite the Hilton Hotel). Gower Street Gate is for coach exit only (not entry).

Coach drivers can take advantage of the following offers (on production of a valid pass) whilst waiting for guests to take in the sights of the Dock:

Liverpool Coach Welcome Scheme

There are designated Coach Welcome Points for Liverpool at the Albert Dock and at Liverpool Cathedral (15-20 minutes walk to the Dock). Here you can arrange to be greeted by a member of the Liverpool Coach Welcome scheme who will welcome you to the city and provide information and maps for guests.
