On Tuesday August 28th, to celebrate Liverpool's 800th Birthday, eight local photographers will photograph 800 people across Liverpool to create a unique snapshot of Liverpool in 2007. Each photographer, working with an assistant, will photograph people across the whole city, in a project which will be exhibited at the Grand Hall at the Albert Dock within 2 days of the photographs being taken.
Working over a twelve hour timeframe each will photograph 100 people, creating a unique portrait capturing Liverpool people as they are today. Portrait points will be set up right across the city.
The exhibition of this unique work opens 10am - 5pm every day at Albert Dock's Grand Hall on Thursday August 30th and is open everyday until 9th September (10am - 8pm on Thursday) The project was created and coordinated by Popcultured in conjunction with Liverpool design agency Black & Ginger and will be hosted online at:

We also have three fantastic sponsors onboard, ACME, Paul Rooney Solicitors and Paul O'Hare Interiors, who without their support this exhibition would not have been possible.
Joe Edge Director of the Albert Dock Company said 'As part of the Albert Dock Company's commitment to supporting local artists we are delighted to be able to house this fantastic exhibition marking Liverpool's 800th Birthday in the Grand Hall, this will be one of many exciting attractions during the 800th Birthday Celebrations at Albert Dock.'
