Liverpool’s award-winning the Beatles Story and Aintree Racecourse are joining forces to offer Crabbie’s Grand National fans the opportunity to experience two of the region’s most exciting cultural offerings with one pass – the ‘Ticket to Ride’.
Visitors planning to attend The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival 2014 can now purchase a joint pass that will ensure them one-day entry to The Crabbie’s Grand National and admission to the Beatles Story exhibition. The combination pass is valid for the Beatles Story between March 31st – April 6th and can be used across one of the three Grand National days between April 3rd – April 5th.
Both the Grand National and The Beatles have been synonymous to Liverpool for many years and recently the annual Grand National weights lunch was held at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, made famous by The Beatles.
Martin King from the Beatles Story says: “Two of Liverpool’s most iconic brands coming together is very exciting and reinforces the fact that Merseyside plays host to some of the UK’s most exciting cultural activities.
“We look forward to welcoming some of the thousands of people who travel to the Grand National every year – giving them a flavour of the life and times of our most celebrated musical export, The Beatles.”
The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival 2014 will see the 167th running of the Grand National steeplechase since the first Grand National 175 years ago.
John Baker, Aintree and North West Regional Director for Jockey Club Racecourses says: “We are delighted to partner with the Beatles Story for The Crabbie’s Grand National 2014. After successfully holding the annual weights lunch at Abbey Road Studios recently, we’re extremely pleased to continue The Beatles connection through this partnership.
“Ticket to Ride is a great way to bring together two of the most famous and exciting Liverpool experiences in one pass, and as The Crabbie’s Grand National is selling fast, I urge people to get their passes soon before they miss out.”
